Start a Home Based Catering Business
It's always been your dream to leave that job at the bakery grocery store and start a home catering business based? I'm sure there were some people who told you that could not be done. Some people may have said that you would fall on your face and embarrassed. Well, these people obviously do not know the first thing about starting a catering business based at home. It's actually pretty easy if you have the time and know-how.
The first thing you should know about when to start a catering business based at home is if they are still legal in your state or not. Some states have looked favorably on people who start businesses in their kitchen, so that they have been banned. It will not be able to pass any health inspection or obtaining a license unless it is legal in your state. Make sure that you double check this, triple check if necessary. You do not want to invest thousands of dollars in a business that you later discover that you can not even legally have open.
Hopefully, if you start a home catering business based which means it should have some experience in the restaurant business. If this is not the case, you should bring someone in who does. Bring a friend or family member, not to work for you, but just to give you advice as an independent contractor or something. If you have experience in the field, then use what they learn to make the business successful. Do what you know best, and do not let others tell you how.
Then, since you did start a home catering business based which means you are going to have customers coming in and out of the house all the time. You're not always going to be able to meet in their place, so make sure your home is always nice and clean. You never know when a client may fall to modify an order or something. Do you want them to walk and see the dirty clothes laying everywhere and a wet dog napping on the carpet? Of course not! Please do not underestimate this problem, a house clean and tidy can be a key to business customers .......
