So you're thinking of starting a home business. Good for you! Start your own business can be one of the best decisions ever made - or one of the worst mistakes you ever made!

How do you know how it will work for you? More importantly, how can you tell if you're going for the success or disaster before investing a lot of time, money and energy to start new business?

Part 1 of this pair of articles explaining in detail why affiliate marketing is a great plan internet home business. For a brief re-cap, you can make good money with affiliate marketing, even if you do not have the technical knowledge of computer or internet, they have advanced training, and have the money for practically starting your home business. All you need to make money with internet affiliate marketing is a computer, Internet access, and willingness to learn some simple new information, and spend some time on your new home business.

Now - here's the really central question:

How you can better learn how to make money with internet affiliate marketing?

Here are some things that I learned the hard (and expensive) way. There are hundreds of products for sale on the internet that promise to teach you how to become extremely rich through internet marketing. I bought and tried to use lots of them - and often very disappointed with what I got.

Through my experiences, I developed the following tips to determine whether a product affiliate marketing is very likely that will show you how to make a good income before spending your money on it.

1. See if the product offers a money back guarantee. If it does, this is good - but not the whole answer. I found (and bought) products which have had great sounding warranties, but actually get a refund of my money is essentially impossible (e-mail addresses that no longer worked, no response to my request until the warranty period had passed, etc.).

2. Look for products that are sold through ClickBank. Never heard of ClickBank? Do not worry - are widely regarded as the premier Internet seller of information products. ClickBank applies an 8-week, no-questions-asked, 100% refund of the purchase price for any product you buy through them. Even if the product owner would not honor the claim, ClickBank would step in and enforce the guarantee.

3. Do not be fooled by sales pitches full of pictures of houses, huge yachts, and piles of money. While it is quite true that people can (and actually have) become independently wealthy through internet affiliate marketing, it does not happen overnight.

4. Do not fall for promises of "raking in insane amounts of money" just to push a couple of computer keys, and working an hour a day. It just does not happen that way. It 's certainly possible to build an affiliate business internet marketing that will bring in a lot of money, but be realistic about the fact that you will need to invest time and effort into your business.

5. It is not enough for the "how-to" owner of the product has become rich with affiliate marketing. Not everyone can do something exceptionally well even know how to explain it to someone who is just trying to get started. Look for products with simple information, clearly written sales it sounds like you can easily understand the information you get.

6. Some affiliate marketing "how-to" products on their Web sites offer previews of what you get if you buy the product. This is a good way to get an idea if you will be able to actually use the information that you acquire. If the previews are offered for sale on a website, take the time to actually look at all.

7. This may be the most difficult of all to assess, but try to get a "feeling" about the sales figures you are reading. The author of the sound "hype-y", or do not have the feeling you're getting information rather simple?

It is a jungle out there total. You only need to spend some 'time to decide if a product appears to offer real promise to you to help you achieve your business goals at home .......
