Keep Acne Under Control With Natural Remedies
Hormonal changes are the main trigger acne, which is the result of the blockage and inflammation of the skin's sebaceous glands, especially in the face and back, but also neck and shoulders. Thus, adolescence is the more you see, but can be fired at other times of life.
The American Institute of Preventive Medicine at the University of Toronto, mentioned among the acne triggers hormonal changes of menstruation and pregnancy, emotional stress, use of lotions and makeup very oily, iodine supplements, some drugs for seizures, lithium used to treat some types of depression and certain anabolic steroids.
With advancing age is less likely to develop acne. When there or comes back at 30 or 40, it is advisable to perform tests to check for a hormone imbalance that could be caused by conditions that cause imbalances such as polycystic ovary syndrome, tumors (glands) and mild elevation testosterone.
There are two main types of acne: the inflammatory, characterized by outbreaks red and painful, and not inflammatory, where there are white or black points in the pore. The type of inflammation largely determines the treatment to follow but no matter what, it is important to wash the face once or twice a day, never sleep with makeup and always use adequate sun protection. The worst thing you can do with acne is to confuse the skin with various chemicals that upset the delicate balance of pH and often leads to dryness and stretch marks. It is best to use natural remedies for acne.
For inflammatory acne treatments include oral antibiotics, topical antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide (anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and comedolytic) and creams such as retinoids that seek to stabilize the process that covers the pore. Treatment is usually long term.
In the case of non-inflammatory acne, the treatment focuses on the use of oral and topical retinoids. Emerge nodular acne can be introduced oral retinoid (Accutane). Maintenance therapy may include retinoids, antibiotic creams and mild soaps.
You should also consider natural remedies to clean the skin thoroughly without drying or flaking, leaving an invisible protective healing film to soften and protect skin against bacterial infection and heal existing pimples and are effective for both types of acne.
When buying non-prescription products and makeup, you must choose those that are solely for the face, do not cover their pores and sun protection factor (SPF) greater than 30.
